Soon, it will be brought to older feature phones as well. This scheme of Flipkart has been brought for big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Patna as well as more than 1700 pin codes.

 This new sale back scheme of Flipkart is for smartphones of all brands. The company has brought this scheme especially to reduce the e-waste i.e. electronic waste from old and unused phones.

 How will this scheme work?

 To sell any old phone, the user will have to answer some simple questions asked by Flipkart. In these answers, the user will have to fill the details of the brand, model, etc. of the phone being sold. Within 48 hours of answering the questions, the company's executives will collect the phone to be sold from the user. After verifying the product, the user will be given a gift voucher. Users will be able to use this gift voucher to buy any product from Flipkart.

 Over 125 million used phones in India

 Launching this scheme, Flipkart said, according to the latest IDC report, there are currently around 125 million used phones in India, of which only 20 percent are reaching the refurbish market. According to the report, more than 85 percent of used phones are going into the waste, which is harmful to our environment. Because of which there is a need to do e-waste management for them.

 Flipkart says that this program has been brought so that users can get a reliable platform to sell their old phones and get the right price for their phone.

 After this go to the menu bar, there you will get the option of “Sell Back”.

 Once you tap there, you will be redirected to “Sell Back Program”.
